If you read "The King's Royal Rifle Corps... the  60th Rifles. A Brief History: 1755 to 1965" by Lieutenant General Sir Christopher Wallace (Published by The Royal Green Jackets Museum Trust - ISBN 0-9549370-0-7) there is a short reference to the service of 1 KRRC in India from 1922 to 1934, serving in Quetta, Rawalpindi, the North-West Frontier at Razmak, Lucknow and Calcutta and the Battalion left India for Burma in November 1934.  Good luck with your research.
