I am an ex GLOSTER who served in IDB in 1979-82. I was in C Coy with an RGJ called DEREK EYLES who as far as I recall came from Bath area. Does anyone know how I can contact him after all these years.
Bernie, Was he a stocky tallish dark haired lad called Steve? from Bristol not Bath married to an Irish lass. If so I'm sorry to say that he was killed in a road accident some years ago.
Derek ended up as a prison officer at the Army jail in Colchester, MCTC- as it has been already passed on his Brother steve who transfered into 3RGJ from the LI was killed in a road accident- not sure where derek is now
Many thanks for your replies, I did see your Roll of Honour concerning his brother. WEll at least I know Derekmis still around somewhere. WE were 432 drivers together in IDB and as I lived in Bristol we gave each other lifts home from Warminster etc. If u guys ever hear his name in the future will u please let me know????
