Roy was C Company Clerk (1st Bn) in Celle 72/73. I knew him well and often went to the Folk Club where Roy performed.

Last saw him in NI on 1st Bn Aldergrove tour 81-83. I was in the Int and had stopped at a small roadside cafe somewhere in Fermanagh. Roy came in with another chap and although we both made eye contact and recognised each other, neither of us gave any outward sign of it. I left about 10 mins later.

I have no idea if Roy was a civvy or on Int as well. He probably wondered the same about me as I had fairly long hair. Never saw or heard of him after that chance meeting.
