I have been lurking and reading for a couple of weeks and from a little search, it seems that you two gentlemen remember my dad Tony C***burn (pronounced Coburn). Anything you could tell me about his time in the regiment would be great.
I new your Dad Tony very well during our time as Riflemen, & there are other Green Jackets who new him better as a Rifleman & during his boyhood days, i can only give you a short scipt of him on this site, we arrived at the Rifle Depot at Bushfield camp Winchester January 1964, & from that first day & onwards i found Tony hilariously funny, He was quick in mind & he saw a funny side to situations it was him who started my nick name as milo & it has stuck ever since. Tony had his parachute wings before he became a Green Jacket & in his early days he belonged to the R.J.G. Parachute club there are many places that he served, but about 1969 i think he was posted & i never saw him again. I still see him as a Brother as all Green Jackets do, & to me he is a smashing mate I hope this helps ill let you take this in & then we might be able to go on a bit more
