i would like to get in touch with  riflemen who  went through training with 11 platoon in peninsula barracks in 1971  i would like to meet up  with as many as possible as there is ten of us so far you can contact me on 07968239738 many thanks  i  would also  like to invite all green jackets  and rifles from the merseyside area which includes over the water  st helens and formby and southport even warrington to our annually scouse dinner which is held every year on the first  saturday in october in the  atlantic hotel in the city  4 course  meal  bottle of wine   guest speaker this  year[  brigadier  vere hayes ] last year we had 80 in attendance hope to see more this year many thanks tommy

my dads name was keith douglas truelove i found a photo of him in the royal green jackets 7th platoon in 1971 in belfast.the thing that got me was your guest speaker not sure if he is the same my dad called him (heye drummer heye heye heye)and said there is a heye for ever generation of his famliy not sure if he is the same but i belive him to have been one of my dads c/o's during his service .i know very little about my dads active service but if im right i would love to know more about his time in service.my email is sgc_angel666@yahoo.co.uk i can supply a e-mail of his platoon picture if required.
