Just wondered if there was anyone who remembered my dad.
We lived in Celle and I went to Grenville school, I do remember some of the people who were in the army with my dad and I suppose I am also curious as to how people are.
Recently done the family tree for my dad, and would love to get some more info on his army life for him.
My name is Dickie Bird and I remember your dad very well. He came to 1RGJ from 3 RGJ. We worked together in Dover in the PRI. We also shared quite a few jugs in Hong Kong. I have a pewter beer mug given to me in dover that in inscribed with Colins name and the other lads that worked their. I do not remember when Colin left the Army as I was posted away.
