I came across Bill Foxton when I was in Saudi - though not in person - He was on a news item and was working for a UN orgainization, I think in Bosnia.   Remember him well as he was my 2ic for a short time - ex Legion if I remember rightly.   I also read a remarkable story about him when he took a civil commission (Capt) in the Omani armed forces.   During what turned out to be the last action of the Dohfar campaign he was leading an assault team into action by air.   During the outward journey he sat next to the pilot and was asking him about the aircraft controls - just to pass the time.   However, after a sucessful op, on the return journey the pilot had a heart attack and Bill Foxton managed to fly the aircraft until they revived the pilot who made the landing.   Stuff of the Rover and Victor eh!!
