Hya Tim. We are all feeling the years slipping away. I,m approaching 50 myself, just 6 months away. I remember entering Bn HQ in 1977 under the guidance of Chaz Prince and Brendan Tyrell. Cant wait for July 12. Just hope I can get to the bar, may have to give money to some one else to get the drinks ( or pitchers) in. What a fatal mistake that could be. Look forward to meeting you again. Mark E
Just a few more names to be added to the list, ie: billy whizz, john plummer, shep. Think we may need to get on 'facebook' lol to find every1? Westy, as they say 'you are only as old as the woman you feel' so leave the grannies alone in winchester lmao
In your case lock up anything over 50 now, grab a granny night used to be a challenge, now what can I say, it's a good job Caroline is staying at home, and my daughters a safe!!, by the way I'm still young compared to you lot of grandads, wheel chairs and zimmer frames ready!!!!
Thank **** i'm single LMFAO. Has any1 heard from trigger since he started this conversation, or is he hiding under his CC's desk, not wanting to put his head over the parapet lol . OI Bonesy, u are not much younger than me, and i defo ain't got a zimmer.............................................. well not yet anyway
If I know Trigger, and as long as he hasn't changed to much, then he will not be hiding beneath the parrapit but will be stood at the photocopier making a dozen copies of The Sun crossword so we can all have a NAAFI break crossword race! Ha ha ha! Boy, what we would do for entertainment in Caterham! And if any one is after a taxi for the reunion, maybe Westy's old CC from Caterham maybe able to help?
Everyone still looking for Trigger. Nothing changes does it? He doesn't live to far away from me and I do know he took ill on his way back from holiday a few weeks ago. Anyway, I'll give him a ring and ask him to post a message . Stay safe you all.
Bloomin' Trigger Rogers... coz we have dropped down to page 4 now, then he will never find his way back in! damn technology! what ever happened to good old reems of A4, paperclips and manila envelopes? Alan Draycott, stationary was your thing back in Celle so can you please deal with it! Order Trigger a map!
Glad to see you back again! I spoke to Danny Norris the other day (well actually the other month it was now!). He was in fine form! Sailing seven parts to the wind and playing poker online - which made for comical emails that night!
I've tried the side lines Tim, but it's bloody hard to sit it all out!
Mark (Westy) Any chance of meeting up friday afternoon for a chinwag, my train gets in to winchester that day at 1035am. Which battle cruiser do you use. I can either get to the Bakers or WestGate for opening time to get some practice in for Saturdays session. Cheers mate. I hope Rick Twohey shows up this year with a bottle of nail varnish remover. It took 2 days to clear my nails in London.
Paddington, would love to but work prevails unfortunately. It's Graduation Week next week for us here at the Uni and I doubt if I will get away before 6 tomorrow. There will be loads out in Winch though. Sid Bunn et al should be in the Bakers about 8ish tomorrow night. I won't be out tomorrow night as I have to wait in for Mo Leys to turn up. He is coming down by car from Ramsgate and staying at my gaff. Will be at the Barracks about 4(ish) on Saturday night. Look forward to seeing you and J. Don't upset Harry F again - you promised to be a good boy this year lol. Ricky T won't be down until Saturday either.
Whats going on? Did everybody go to the reunion and then die? Hello? Excuse me..... Hellllloooooooooooooooo! Grrrrr! I am legend! If there is anybody left out there, best get yourself a gun, a dog and then take to the god damn hills!
It just got even worser matey me old mucker! We blinkin well did just drop down to page bloomin "5" now! This means we will never see trigger again! OMG!
Bogey, It looks like a few will never be seen again. Perhaps they are somewhere else and we just haven't been told. How's it going mate. the mighty Luton are in a bit of a sad way now still not to worry they are still better than your MK Dons !!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Tim and Brian. Some of us are still here, though the list is getting longer, we will be down to page 6 soon, even harder to navigate. The reunion went well, I was one of the last ones out of the tent with my daughter Jenna, at 01.30, good night by all, now looking forward to the Oxford reunion, mainly cos I only live 7 miles from Slade Park. Cheers lads, Mark E
Glad to hear you flew the flag for 3RGJ at the reunion! I might go to Slade Park this year, went a couple of years ago and got absolutely blitzzed! (Still got the hangover me thinks!) My outlaws live local to Slade, over on Blackbird Leys... nugh said! So I may have to "jack" a car, visit the outlaws and pop into slade for a comforting Jack Daniells!
Hey Tim,
Shame about the Hatters, they were really tucked up! As for the Dons, well at least we are heading in the right direction! Up!
Westy,
What the F' happened to the Saints? As for Crouch, what a **** he turned out to be... Pompey reject gone back to the stone he crawled out from under me thinks!
" Fat Boy slim durch " I need something to get rid of an expanding belly, but its all muscle " very unexercised muscle, lean durch." I also have relatives on the estate ( my sister ) who lives in Greater Lees, at Falcons Close, 5 minutes from the Kassam Stadium. If you come to Oxford I will buy you PINT or more. I live in Kidlington. Nice area, very quiet. In my area there are 3 ex Green Jackets, from all 3 battalions. There is ex Rfn Mike Hewlett (MUR) from the 1st Bn, Rfn Lee Gregory ( Horace ) from the 2nd Bn and me from the 3rd. I see Mike regularly in the Black Bull pub. Hope to see you in September. Cheers. Mark E.
Seeing's how u r doing the duty clerk bit, you wouldn't run a couple of copies of these skins off for us would ya? I'll nip over NAAFI and get u a pie n' pint while u do 'em, then I'll help u staple all two thousand and some copies together! Ha ha sound familiar Tim (and any other Celle duty clerk)?
Celle speak for: "Some dodgy Rubert has forgotten he is on Ex tomorrow and needs his life saving pronto, so if you do all this ****e work in double time you'll be rewarded with his undying thanks, no money or material gain, just his thanks!"
