Visitor Comments: Hello fellow Riflemen..My name is Dan Ware and I served in 1RGJ (formerly the original 2nd Bn) from 1987 until I left as a Cpl from B Coy in Nov 1997 having done 10 years. I now live in Lancashire (struggling to get used to the accent for the past 11 years) with the police and have been on the Armed Response Unit based at Blackburn for the past 6 years. Though I had no regrets when leaving the army I do miss those good times and it would always be great to catch up with any one, even if you though I was a t**t then it would be good to hear from you then at least I knew where I stood. I never lost the army attitude and still have some 'green' left in me. For the past few years I have been spending time writing a book about my brother who was killed in South Armagh with the Coldstream Guards. I have been successful in the publishing market and last month signed a publishing contract and the book is scheduled to be launcehed in Jan/Feb..It will be called A Rendevous With The Enemy and though it will have a little about me it is a book surrounding the murder of my brother by the IRA. I have posted my e-mail address in the hope of catching up with some old folks so drop me a line and we can keep in touch and keep you updated with my book launch. danware1597@aol.com - Swift And Bold

Dan, Why not visit and join the Association or N/W Branch, probably the best way to find and get together with people. I was with 1 RGJ right up until I retired in 1991. Look forward to hearing from you Ginger Chairman N/West Branch RGJ Association.
