Hello Brian,

We have updated the 'In memoriam' board, and there are tributes to Frank on there but there were no photo's taken at Frank's funeral. Leave some contact details and we will be in touch.

Regards

Is this the same Frank Sainsbury ex WO2 Coy Sgt Major of 3rd  Green Jackets The Rifle Brigade Cyprus1962/64? If it is I have some very fond memories of him. I was a driver in the mortar platoon and drove him regularly [sometimes round he bend] One time, early in 1964 I was his driver when we were called to an incident at a village near Nicosia during the troubles, Shots were fired in our direction and we duly bailed out into a ditch behind some bushes. We were there only a few seconds when he looked at me then at the landrover standing in the open pointed and said ''and as I was the ''Well I'm not going to get it!''    Oh boy..... Scared or what?  I was only 18 at the time and very wet behind the ears.   He referred to me as youg Tommy. [ Rfn Sayer]        mustardandpepper@yahoo.co.uk
