Do any Green Jackets who served in the early 1960s in Malaysia recall a war memorial or war memorial plaque within MINDEN BARRACKS, PENANG? That's within the barracks NOT the large war memorial on the Esplanade. I was there as a child but don't recall it and nor does my mother. My Malayan Volunteers Group http://www.malayanvolunteersgroup.org.uk is trying to track down 'missing' war memorials in Malaysia. We recently found the Kuala Selangor Memorial and intend restoring it. I would welcome any information on the Minden Barracks memorial. A photo of it would be excellent. best wishes Jonathan Moffatt
