I am John Mabb, was 2 RGJ, then 1 RGJ now serving in 2 RIFLES in Ballykinler. I have had a transit envelope with some photos appear in my office and am trying to track down the owner.
The photos are a mixture of black and white NI images, recruit photos from Peninsula Barracks around 1985, boxing photos and a couple of small colour images of the owner in his youth ( I think).
There is a postcard in the pack addressed to : 24692447 Rfn Perry, Anti-tank Platoon, 1 RGJ in Tidworth in Sep 86 from his parents who sent it from Florida.
There are a couple of faces in the photos that I recognise - Pete Deane being in a couple but is not in the majority. I would like to get these back to their rightful owner so If anyone can remember a Rfn Perry in 1 RGJ A-Tks in the mid '80s and knows where he is now or contact details, please let me know and I'll get in touch with him.
Good to hear from you, I tried finding you on FB without success and then lost myself in some of the RGJ photo albums. All is well in sunny (!) NI. Can you send me his e-mail / contact details and I'll get the photos to him. No wonder he hasn't replied if he's in Peru.
