Has anyone seen or heard of Benny Brown, late 3rd Bn, circa 1970. We were in a 'band' together in Cyprus. Benny was a chef before he left, he was always good for a curry at 2 in the morning after a session down in Limassol! After he left. he became a Welfare Rep, and may be in the Birmingham area. Grateful for any news. Buzz Busby, the other member of the group is now in Frazerborough.
Jim O. If it is the same Benny Brown that I am thinking of was he in B Coy 3 RGJ Celle 68/70 and than Tidworth 70/71. Last I heard he was in the Toxteth area of Liverpool. I am sure some of the Scousers who would be able to confirm this. Cheers Bill Netcher
Only read your message tonight whilst stagging on in the Station, (1st Feb 06), humble apologies for the delay . I have written, following Ginge's message on the Association Website. Hope you're feeling better and a compatible bone marrow match will soon be found. I hope the nurses are spoiling you, flicking you peanuts across the room like we used to do in Berlin! (Eileen used to find cashew nuts scattered around the house for weeks after our cointreau get-to-gethers!)
We're due over the pond the third week in March, so make sure you're out and about to get the beers in. We're going down to Felixstowe for the reunion, sailing to Liverpool so we can visit the family en route. I had to see the doctor earlier in the week, as I'd sat on a mince pie and it got stuck up there - he asked me if I wanted some cream for it!!
On that note...Get well soon and we'll meet up in March.
