Webmaster, I am an ex Flight Engineer from the 36 Squadron RAAF Hercules and we carried Penang based Green Jackets from Butterworth to Lahad Datu airfield on the 13th February 1965. I am trying to get confirmation of the duty we performed for them as we were not given any credit from the Australian Department of Defence, evidently we were under British MoD command for this and other sorties we carried out so missed out on British General Service Medal 1962 and Borneo Medal. I am searching for any Green Jacket who travelled with us on that trip and others to Tawau, Kuching, Labuan etc

I would be grateful to hear from anyone that recalls the details of those sorties.

G'Day Jockey,

You would have to check the criteria for qualification regarding  the GSM '[1962] with 'Borneo 'clasp'. I have a feeling that the minimum for eligibility is 30 days continuous days active service in that theatre of operations. I could be wrong.
