Just making an Inquire about the Above Painting for P.Walsh, he wants to know what happened to the Painting????, also is there any Pictures of the Above Portrait???, also where is the Painting Now, as it was a Full life size image???.

Nearly all the mess's property from 1RGJ was presented to 5RGJ in Oxford (43&52) on the amalgamations of the 3 Battalions. What has happened to it from there I do not know as the TA changed about 1999 when I went back to my regular Battalion. I hope this helps.

if that is the picture you are referring to it hangs in the stairwell of A Coy 7 Rifles in Edward Brooks Bks, Abingdon Oxon OX13 6HW. I inspected it two weeks ago - so I can confirm its existence.
it is still part of the RGJ property, it is well looked after by A Coy. It is not life size but quite large. I am not aware if a print was ever made but will make enquiries of ex 1 RGJ members who were in HK.
I've got one of a naked bandsman on a camel chasing an officer from the KRRC across the Somme while the officer chases some bugler for a light to his fag.
Its hanging in the Tate Modern and they've all got dreadlocks coming out of the sides of their shorts.
